One place where we’ve directed readers for great deals on watches across the spectrum of style and price is Jomashop.
The site offers a wide variety of brands at competitive prices, whether you’re in the market for anything from Rolex to Citizen to Shinola and everything in between.
We asked Chaim Posen, marketing director at Jomashop, what the five best-selling watches were on the site this year, and you can find the results below.
If you’re in search of a new look or simply curious as to what the most popular watches were for 2016, take a look below and see for yourself.
Editor’s note: If you’re considering dropping big money on a luxury watch, as with any other major purchase, be sure to compare prices and do some research first. While all of the watches are guaranteed to be 100% authentic, they do not come with a manufacturers warranty. If you have any concerns at all, you can view Jomashop’s full warranty policy here.
This stainless steel dive watch was the top-selling timepiece on Jomashop this year, and it’s not difficult to imagine why. Available at a $1,700 discount off the retail price, it’s a watch that is an investment without nearing five figures, like many that look very similar to it. The navy face gives a bit of expression without being too outlandish.
It’s a simple piece that will suit the businessman well in his suit.
Second on the list was this Citizen Navihawk. At only $370, it’s a much more affordable watch, and provides a ton of information, including date, calendar, chronograph functionality, and synchronized time adjustment with 43 cities.
While it’s a bit busy for my taste, it’s easy to see how this would appeal to regular travelers or anyone who likes more information at a glance.
Omega was the only brand to have two watches make the top five this year, and this Speedmaster is one of my favorites on the list. The black and silver look is simple, easy to read, and looks extremely professional. The chronograph sub-dials display 60 second, 30 minute and 12 hour intervals, making it functional for anyone needing to track time.
